Career:

Coach Burnett works as a full time elementary physical education teacher in phoenixville. You will quickly notice that Coach Burnett is a natural teacher and has an absolute passion for teaching, coaching, and working with kids and players at any level. Coach Burnett has great experience working with kids of all ages and skill levels and truly understands the concept of "progression" and meeting a student/players individual needs. 

Coaching Experience:

2014- Present: Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach - Phoenixville Area High School. Coach Burnett is one of the winningest coaches in the PAC conference with over 100 wins in just 8 seasons as head coach.

2013-2014 Assistant Coach -  Ursinus College

2011-2013: Head JV coach and Assistant Varsity Boys basketball coach-  Owen J. Roberts High School

2010:  9th Grade Boys Basketball Coach - Phoenixville Area High School

2006- Present: Burnett has worked and directed several summer basketball camps and clinics throughout the area. Coach Burnett continues to direct camps throughout the summers and clinics throughout the fall to prepare players for their up coming season. He has worked with hundreds of players of all ages and playing levels including beginners and professional players.

High School Playing Experience:

As a junior at Spring-Ford, Burnett helped lead the team to a Pac-10 league championship prior to losing to Glenn Mills in the district playoffs. As a senior, Burnett set both league and school records in 3 pointers made with 80 in one season. He finished the season with 1st team All-League and All-Area honors and was a highly sought after recruit in the area.

College Playing Experience:  

At Ursinus College, Burnett was part of two Centennial Conference championship teams. As a junior, Burnett was a team leader and contributor on a 29-2 team that advanced to the Division 3 Final Four and was selected for the team/conference sportsmanship award. As a senior in 2009, Burnett led the league in 3pt % at 47.4% and was top 5 in the league in 3 pointers made.
